Freezing Preparations

-    Did you cook too much rice or pasta? Or maybe you wanted to cook the rice ahead of time? Don’t worry, because you can easily cook rice & store it for later. Just allow it to cool, then place in a sealed container & store until needed. Simply reheat in the microwave, or place in a pot over low heat, with a little water.
-    You can also freeze pasta after cooking! Just leave it out to cool for a little while, & place in a sealed container with some olive oil to preserve taste & prevent sticking. You can even portion your pasta out ahead of time. To reheat it, simply warm up in your favorite sauce. For best results, take out the pasta & place in the fridge the night before.
-    After cooking your favorite red sauce, Bolognese, or creamy sauce, leave it out to cool down completely. Pour the sauce into a sealed container or zip-lock bag (don’t forget to remove all the air from the bag before sealing). When needed, take out the sauce & let it come up to room temperature slowly. Alternatively, you can reheat it in a pot over low heat.
-    For dough, portion it out according to your needs & place in a zip-lock bag. Sprinkle the inside of the bag with flour to prevent sticking. Alternatively, if you prefer to store the dough in measured out chunks, simply separate & wrap in cling film or baking paper (don’t forget to sprinkle with flower). Freeze until needed. Before you use your dough, allow it to thaw out overnight.
