Let’s start, for 1 cup of quinoa, you’ll need 1 ¾ cup boiling water. While you’re washing the quinoa, start to boil the water. You’ll put slightly more than 1 ¾ cup water in the pot because you’ll lose some of that water while boiling. Once the water is at a rapid boil, add ¼ to ½ teaspoon salt per one cup of quinoa and add in your washed quinoa. Let the water come back to a boil, and then turn it down to a cook lightly, there should be some light bubbling throughout, you do not need big, rolling bubbles). Cover and cook for 20 minutes. After that, take the quinoa off the heat, and then let it sit for a minute or few, then fluff it up with a fork and now voila your quinoa is ready.
