No doubt that garnishing your dishes and getting creative at presentation attract your family, friends and kids to eat food as “You eat with your eyes”. The way your food looks plays a great role in increasing appetite and pleasure with each bite.
Basics of Serving and Garnishing:
1.Using the right plate for the right dish and garnish it accordingly. This very comforting for the eye. For example, soup has its own plates and garnish, just like salads and other dishes.
2.Make sure to garnish with ingredients that you have used in that dish. For example, a lemon cake would be garnished with lemon slices or with thinly shredded lemon zest this helps indicates what’s in the cake.
3.The garnish depends on the dish and the way it’s served. Some dishes are garnished through the cooking method and others through serving.
4.Blending the colors and tastes of the garnish with the main dish is an art. A dessert’s garnish can’t be too sugary, as we usually need something less sugary to break the taste like orange or berry.
5.Try to cut the vegetables in nice shapes, as it adds style to your dishes.
