Finally, our children have just started their new school year!
What new ideas do we have for their school meals and what to fill their lunch boxes with, so they can enjoy their food and eat their breakfast heartily with no leftovers?
Finally, our children are back to school and we have to find new creative ideas for their lunch boxes. What to fill them with daily and how to make diversified meals
so they won’t get bored and get back home only for you to discover they didn’t eat their meals! On the other hand, how to decorate their meal and make it enjoyable for them todig in? How to prevent them from buying junk food from the school canteen?
For example, we can put the following in their lunch boxes:
Green apples that they can dip in Goody Peanut Butter. Next day, we can put carrot sticks to dip in Hummous. We can also use slices of cucumber or rusks to dip in yogurt. This way, we can make a wide range of foods our children won’t be bored of. These are additions to multiple choices of sandwiches from day to day. For
example, start with a jam sandwich, then Nutella or peanut butter sandwich and next day, a cheese sandwich. On other days, they can have thyme or cheese Manakeesh, or why not both!
Let’s not forget the bottle of milk with their favourite flavour. For me, sometimes, I give my children a small pack of greek yogurt instead of milk in order for them, to feel the change.
As for fruits, they are very necessary for their growth and provide them with energy and vitamins. In order to get your kids to eat more fruits, you have to use them in many creative ways. For example, one day, we cut the fruits in slices; the other we give them a banana, a mandarin orange, some strawberries that they
like, or slices of kiwifruit and pineapple etc.
Bringing variations to your children meals from day to day will light up their faces and encourage them to eat well. They will give their bodies the necessary nutrients for their growth so they don’t hungry or tired. They also provide them with the power they need to absorb the information they take in their classes. We
wish our children a happy new school year filled with energy, learning, progress and success.

child’s appetite! Of course, most of our children get bored with the same old options of cheese and egg sandwiches for breakfast, very easily so we have to put some efforts to
be creative and make variations. For example, you can use toast cutters to make different and beautiful shapes of toasts. This will make the breakfast in school
more tempting for children to try. There are also many creative and easy ideas toincrease Breakfast or lunch meals are important for our children – according to the
mealtimes schools follow in each country. It is vital that we get our little ones used to them. Therefore, carrying lunch boxes with them to school is very necessary for their health and growth as well as their learning process. Of course, most of our children get bored with the same old options of cheese
and eggs sandwiches at breakfast very easily. So, we have to put some efforts to be creative and make variations. For example, we can put in the child’s lunch box a piece of his favourite fruit with some fresh vegetables such as cucumber and carrot. We can also put corn. A pack, even if a small one, of flavoured yogurt is going
to be a good addition too. We can give the child home-cooked chicken nuggets, cheese sticks or a sandwich
of tuna mixed with corn and some mayonnaise. Moreover, we can put home- cooked cupcake, muffin or pancake cut in small pieces with a bit of honey on the side. Don’t forget to put a small plastic fork in the box to help them keep their
hands clean when they dip the cake in honey. We should change their meals every now and then so the next day, let’s give the child his favourite cookies with a bottle of milk.
For sandwiches, it’s recommended that we use a cookie cutter to cut them in different and beautiful shapes. This will make the meal more tempting and increase the child’s appetite, because sight is very important for children. Don’t forget to put a bottle of purified water because water, as we know, is essential for their health.
In addition, we have to give the child dry and scented tissues to help him clean his hands before and after eating his meal. Let’s remember that we should not include something we know the child doesn’t like, or a new kind of food that he has never tasted before, because probably he won’t feel the urge to give it a try!
