Healthy Fava bean with Lentils

Main Dish

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Goody Fava beans
  • 3 tablespoons orange lentils, boiled
  • 3 cups Goody Sieved tomato
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 Hot green pepper chopped
  • 1 teaspoon crushed cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper as desired
    For the Tahini sauce:
  • 4 tablespoons sesame paste diluted in warm water
  • 1 teaspoon of black vinegar
    For garnish:
  • Chopped Coriander and Parsley
  • Tomatoes chopped


Direction

  1. Rinse and wash the Fava beans.
  2. In a pot over medium heat, add oil, onion, garlic, chili pepper, and mix well until the onion is soft. After that add lentils and stir. Add Fava beans and mash it with a fork until the mixture is combined. Add the tahini by a quarter cup and add the tomato sauce and spices. Add tomato juice, stir well and leave on low heat for 5 minute and remove from heat.
  3. In the serving dish, add the Fava beans mix.
