Tuna Kabsa

Main Dish


  • 1 ½ cup of Long-Grain Rice
  • 4 cans of Goody White Albacore Tuna
  • 2 Tbsps Olive Oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, finely minced
  • 1 large Onion, finely minced
  • 1 large Bell Pepper, cut into small cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • A Dash of Turmeric, Mixed Spices, Cumin, Cardamom and Black Pepper
  • 1 can Goody sieved tomatoes2 Tbsps Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Goody Chicken Stock Cubes
  • 2 cups of Water, boiled
  • 1 whole Dried Lime


    Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat, and fry the garlic cloves and minced onion for 5 minutes until they wilt. Add the pepper, salt, spices, tomatoes and tomato sauce, then stir the mixture and leave it over the heat for 10 minutes.
    Add the tuna and the chicken stock cubes; then stir for a couple of minutes; afterwards, add the rice, water and black lime and stir for a minute. Cover the pot and let it simmer for half an hour until the rice is cooked.Place the rice in the serving dish and serve hot.
