The seasonal drink for Saudi's minor cold nights, it is the Arabic version of the American's hot coco.
2 cups Velor powder milk
6 cups water
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp cardamom
3 tbsp almond meal in reserved milk
- In a large pan, dissolve 2 cups Velor powder milk in 6 cups water. Reserve 1 cup and place the pan on medium fire. Stir in ½ cup sugar or as desired and 1 tbsp cardamom or as desired. Dissolve 3 tbsp almond meal in reserved milk. When milk is almost boiling, gradually add to pan stirring constantly. Reduce heat, stir for 2 more minutes. Take off heat and pour in serving cups.
