Prepare traditional Ashure dish for your family members to benefit from its nutritional value and enjoy its distinctive taste.
3 cups of Wheat Grains, washed
2 cups of Sugar (or to taste)
¼ cup of Cardamom
¾ cup of Goody Butter Beans, boiled
½ cup of Goody Chickpeas, boiled
½ cup of Almonds, boiled and peeled
½ cup of Raisins
Dried Apricot and Figs to taste
½ cup of Rose Water
Roasted Nuts to taste
1.In a deep pot over medium heat, place the washed wheat grains and cover it with water; let it boil until its form thickens, then add the sugar and cardamom and stir well. Afterwards, lower the heat and leave the pot over the heat for 4 hours, adding water when needed.
2.Add the boiled butter beans and chickpeas to the wheat and leave it over the heat for 30 minutes; afterwards, add the almonds, raisins and dried fruit and let them boil with the ingredients for 10 minutes. Add the rose water and stir well, then take the pot off the heat. Pour the Ashure in the serving yoghurt containers and keep them in the refrigerator; serve them cold after garnishing the top with roasted nuts.
It is preferable to prepare the Ashure a day before serving it.
