2 cans Tuna large chunks
1 cup long basmati rice
1 onion large sliced
1 cup coriander
¼ can Goody sieved tomatoes
½ a pack small yogurt
½ Teaspoon of lemon zest
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)
1 tablespoon of Biryani Spices
Bay Leaves
1 Teaspoon Chilli pepper
½ Teaspoon saffron dissolved in a cup of boiling water
1 cup of water
½ cup oil


1.Mix the cup of water with saffron and add to the yogurt
2    Sautee the onions in oil until yellow color, then add the garlic followed by lemon zest, chili and tomatoes and spices, Stir well and leave it for two minutes over the medium heat Add the coriander and yoghurt with saffron, and mix in and leave for five minutes
3.Wash rice in two cups boiling water and add salt, cardamom bay leaf and two tablespoons oil until cooked
Keep half of the quantity of rice in the pot, and set aside the rest
4.Add in ½ of the spices mix to the rice in the pot
5.    Proceed by adding the rest of the rice which was set aside to the rice in the pot and add the rest of the saffron water to it and cover for 20 minutes on low heat In a separate pot place the Tuna and add spices and chopped and mix in gently on very low heat
6.    Once Rice is ready, serve in the dish and place spiced tuna chunks on top and decorate with coriander and pine nuts
