Impress your guests and serve them the chicken and parmesan cheese stuffed shells dish with its striking form and delicious taste.
3 Tbsps Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic, mashed
1 can of Goody Peeled Chopped Tomatoes
1 tsp White Sugar
Salt, Black Pepper and Italian Spices to taste
1 ½ kg Chicken Breasts, boned
3 Tbsps Vegetable Oil
½ cup of White Flour
2 Large Eggs, whisked
1 1/3 cup of Breadcrumbs
Shells and Cheese:
16 pieces of Goody Large Conchigli
1 1/3 cup of Mozzarella Cheese, grated
1/2 cup of Parmesan Cheese, grated
½ tsp Italian Spices or you can use Green or Dry Basil
1.Heat the oven at 180oC.
2.To Prepare the Tomato Sauce:In a pot over medium heat, heat the olive oil, and add the mashed garlic; stir for a couple of minutes or until it turns yellow. Add the tomato can, sugar, salt, black pepper and Italian spices according to your taste. Lower the heat and stir the mixture well.
3.To Prepare the Filling:Remove any grease from the chicken and cut it into big equal pieces.
4.Place the flour, eggs and breadcrumbs in three different bowls, and dip the chicken in the flour then the eggs and finally the breadcrumbs. Repeat the process with all the chicken pieces.
5.In a pot over medium heat, heat the oil, and then fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until it is completely cooked. Put the chicken pieces on the cutting board and leave them until they are cooled.
6.To Prepare the Shells:Boil the shells according to the instructions on the package; drain the shells and wash them with cold water; then set them aside.
7.Cut the chicken pieces the size of the shells. Place the chicken pieces and a little mozzarella cheese inside the shells.
8.In a medium-sized sheet, place half the amount of tomato sauce, then stack the shells and cover them with the remaining sauce. Garnish with mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.Cover the sheet with tin foil and bake for 20-25 minutes, then remove the tin foil and return it to the oven once more for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese melts.Garnish your dish with Italian spices or basil and serve.
Side Tip: To make sure that the amount of shells is sufficient, prepare the chicken first and cut it, and based on the number of chicken pieces that you have, boil the appropriate number of shells.
