It's time for a change; it's time to enjoy the rich Chickpeas Fatteh for you and your family
1 can of Goody Chickpeas
1 can of Yogurt, 300g
2 Tbsps Liquid Tahini
1 Garlic Clove, mashed
2 Tbsps Lemon Juice
1 large Loaf of Bread, diced and toasted in the oven
2 Tbsps Pine Nuts, fried in Olive Oil
Dash of Salt, Cumin and Paprika
Parsley for Garnish
- Mash two tablespoons of chickpeas in a bowl, then mix it with milk, tahini, mashed garlic and lemon juice, and leave them aside.
- Place the toast in a large sheet in a pot over the heat; then heat the remaining amount of chickpeas with the cumin and then drain it. Afterwards, add it to the bread and top it with the milk and tahini mix.
- Garnish the dish with fried pine nuts, parsley and a dash of salt, cumin and paprika over the top and serve.
Idea : You can add a little minced meat over the top of the Chickpeas Fatteh to give it a distinctive taste.
