A traditional warming dessert for cold winter nights. Best served with Arabic coffee.
1kg dates, seeded
1 pack Goody corn flakes
½ cup Goody vegetables shortening
2 tsp cardamom, grounded
½ cup nuts, roasted and coarsely chopped
1.In a pan over medium heat, combine dates and shortening. Stir till shortening is melted and well mixed with dates.
2.Take off heat. Crushing by hand, add corn flakes and mix well. Add cardamom, stir.
3.Add half amount of nuts, stir. Place in serving plate and sprinkle with remaining nuts. Serve warm.
