500g finely grinded dates into a paste
100g unsalted butter at room temperature
300ml hot water
200g plain flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp bicarbonate of sodium
1 tsp cinnamon powder
80g Velor powder milk
1 can Velor sweet condensed milk
30g grinded pistachio
3 dates without the seeds.
1.In a mixing bowl, add the dates paste, butter, sugar, and eggs and blend for 5 minutes. Add the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of sodium, cinnamon, and then add half of the water. Mix for 2 minutes until it is mixed well. Add the rest of the hot water gradually until it is mixed very well for 2 to 3 minutes.
2.Put in a medium baking pan (22 inch) and put in the oven on 150 F for 40 minutes. Then leave to cool.
3.Sauce Preparation:Fill a pressure cooker to the half with boiled water. Add the condensed milk can unopened in the cooker and leave for an hour. When it’s done, leave to cool. After that spread the caramel on the cake and decorate with pistachio on the edges and dates in the middle. Place the dates on the top, in the center of the cake.
