Cheese balls ingredients:

30 cups of Egyptian rice
2 cups of Egyptian rice
1/2 kilo of minced meat
2 tsps salt
2 tsps black pepper, ground
5 tbsps vegetable oil
2 tbsps lemon, squeezed
2 spoons of olive oil
2 large potatoes, chopped into rounds


1.    Wash the grape leaves well and put it in a strainer.
2.    Wash the rice with water several times then let it soak in lukewarm water for 10 minutes.
3.    Strain the rice from water then stir in the minced meat, salt, black pepper and vegetarian oil, mix them well.
4.    Prepare 6 small pastry molds (10 cm in diameter), grease with a little olive oil then spread a grape leaf at the bottom of the mold then arrange 4 grape leaves at the sides so that half of each leave is inside and the other half is outside.Put an appropriate amount of the minced meat mixture in the center then fold the edges of the grape leaves inwards so as to cover the filling. Repeat the process with all the molds until the amount ends.Place potato slices on top of the dolmas then sprinkle all the molds with boiling water, lemon juice and a pinch of salt.Cover the small dolmas molds tightly with tin foil then place the molds in a large oven baking sheet containing 2 cups of water (water bath), place the sheet in the oven for an hour and a half.After the dolmas are done, invert them from the molds and put them in a serving dish, garnish with lemon slices, tomato slices and dill or mint (to taste).
