Light, juicy and cool. The layers are worth the digging.
2 cups water
½ cup Velor powder milk
6 tbsp corn flour
¼ cup sugar
½ tsp vanilla
1 can Velor cream
For whip cream:
2 envelops Goody top whip
3 tbsp Velor powder milk dissolved in 1 cup of water
1 can Goody mixed fruits
1 can cherry pie filling
Sponge cake, cut
Fresh strawberry and kiwi, sliced
1.In a pan, dissolve powder milk in water. In a small bowl, dissolve corn flour in ½ cup dissolved milk.
2.Add sugar and vanilla to milk in pan. Heat on fire till sugar is dissolved and milk is heated through. Add corn flour mixture, whisk constantly till thickened and bubbly. Take off heat, add cream, whisk. Cool.
3.For whip cream, in a bowl, beat top whip envelops in milk. When thickened, add cream fold in.
4.In small deep glass serving bowls, put a layer of cooled custard. Add a layer of sponge cake, brush well with fruit juice from a can. Then a layer of custard, then one of mixed fruits and a tbsp of cherry filling, Finally add a thin layer of whipped cream. Repeat layers ending with fruits and cherry filling. Cool in fridge.
5.For serving, decorate with whipped cream, fresh fruit slices and a tsp of filling.
