A special Arabic dessert, feel the crunchiness of layers and smoothness of cream.
8 sheets readymade samosa
2 tbsp corn flour, dissolved in 4 tbsp water
1 cup oil, for frying
3 cans Velor cream
300g cream cheese
¾ cup icing sugar
Goody Arabic sweet’s syrup
Lemon flower jam
1.In a bowl, beat sugar in cheese till dissolved. Add cream, fold in to combine. Cover. Refrigerate.
2.Cut each samosa sheet into 10 equal squares. Brush each with dissolved corn flour. Fold in half to shape a triangle. Using your fingers, press gently to seal. Fry till golden. Place in absorbent paper.
3.For assembly: place about 1 tbsp cream over a triangle, cover with another. Repeat to get 3 layers. Garnish with nuts and jam. Arrange in serving plate. Drizzle syrup.
•Get cream to room temperature 30 minutes before assembly for easier spread.
•Serve immediately to avoid softening.
