For lovers of special pastries and fast food, here is the Honey Masabeeb for you and your family.
1 cup of Whole Wheat Flour
3 Tbsps Velor Powder Milk
A Dash of Salt
1 Tbsp Sugar, powdered
1 tsp Yeast
1 ¼ cup of Water
4 Tbsps Honey
1 Tbsp Black Cumin
1 Tbsp Goody Vegetable Shortening
Goody Original Pancake Syrup
- Heat the griddle over medium heat.
- Mix all the dry dough ingredients in an electric stand mixer at medium speed; then gradually add the water while continuing to blend. Mix the dough for 5 minutes until you obtain a liquid dough similar to that of a pancake. Shape the mixture in form of circles and pour a tablespoon of the dough; then place them on the griddle in a circular form similar to a piece of Qatayef; leave them on the griddle for 8 seconds until they are browned from the bottom. Flip them on the other side until they are browned.
- Place the sauce ingredients in a pot over high heat, and continue to stir for 3 minutes and until the ingredients are incorporated. Place the mixture on the Masabeeb; then garnish with the pancake syrup and serve hot.
