Kunafa Cheese balls
Kenafeh is considered to be one of the most popular traditional, Arabian and ramadanian dishes, but we present it at Goody Kitchen in a creative manner.
Cheese balls ingredients:
400 gm of cream cheese
½ cup of Velor powder milk
¼ tsp cardamom, ground
2 envelopes of Goody vanilla top whipping cream
2 tbsps butter
2 tbsps of Goody vegetable margarine
3 cups of Kenafeh, snipped
½ cup of Goody Arabian desserts syrup
- Using a Kenwood cake mixer, mix the cheese balls ingredients (cream cheese, milk, cardamom, top whipping cream, egg), pour the mixture in the cake pop molds, place the molds in the oven at 180o C for 20 minutes then remove the molds and refrigerate them for at least 4 hours.
- In a pan over the heat, melt the butter and the vegetable margarine until they are heated then add the kenafeh, stirring constantly, until it becomes golden, spread it on a dish.
- Remove the cheese balls from the molds then put a little cream on your hands, grease the balls by rolling them in the palm of your hands then slide them on the kenafeh so that the kenafeh will stick to the balls from all sides.Put the kenafeh cheese balls in the serving dish, adding Goody Arabian desserts syrup then serve.
