1 loaf of Somali Bread

½ cup of Butter

3 whole Bananas, ripe

4 ½ Tbsp Sugar

1 tsp Cardamom, ground

1 Velor Canned Cream Plain

  1. Cut the loaf of bread into small pieces. Heat half the amount of butter in a pan and roast the bread until it turns golden.
  2. In a dish suitable for the oven, mash the bananas using a fork, then add the roasted bread, a spoon of sugar, the cardamom, and two tablespoons of cream. Bake in the oven for 7 minutes or until it browns.

For the Caramel Sauce:

  1. In the same pan, place the remaining amount of butter and sugar over the heat; stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until the sugar melts and its color becomes light brown. Add the remaining cream gradually, while stirring constantly until the mixture is incorporated and becomes creamy.
  2. Place the sauce over the Masoub and serve hot.
