A dish from the Lebanese cuisine. Full of flavour, full of Arabian identity.
1 cup brown lentil
1 pack Goody Pasta no. 17
2 cups boiling water
1 medium onion, finally chopped
3 large onions, sliced
½ tbs cumin seeds
½ tbs mix spices (7 spices)
Salt to taste
3 tbs oil
2 tbs butter
Oil for deep frying
1. Boil lentil for 20 minutes, wash, drain, leave aside.
2. Deep fry onion slices till brown, drain on towel paper.
3. In a pan, heat butter and oil, cook chopped onion till golden. Add whole and powder spices, salt, pasta ad lentil. Mix well. Add boiling water, cook on medium heat covered for 15 minutes. Mix frequently for the first 10 minutes.
4. Put in serving dish, garnish with fried onion.
