½ pack (or more) GOODY Alphabet and Numbers pasta
4 medium to large potatoes cut into small cubes
2 tbsp butter and oil for sautéing
1 medium sized onion, chopped
½ cup chopped leeks
1 tbsp mashed garlic
4 cubes Goody chicken stock dissolved in 5-6 cups of boiling water (use 5 cups or less for a thicker soup, and 6 or more cups of water for a lighter consistency)
1 cup Velor powdered milk mixed with water
2½ cups grated yellow cheddar
Salt and black pepper
Parsley or spring onions for garnish


1.Heat butter and oil in a pan and sauté onions and leeks until tender.Add potatoes and garlic, and sauté for 1 minute. Add stock and let it boil until potatoes are cooked. Remove from pot and puree in blender until smooth and return to the same pan. Add milk and pasta and cook soup until pasta is done. Add cheese, salt and black pepper. Stir soup until cheese melts then sprinkle with parsley or green onions. Serve with salty crackers.
