Prepare the burger with a new innovative method using the healthy quinoa grains and enjoy its distinctive taste.
1 cup of Quinoa
½ cup of Carrots, grated
½ cup of Zucchinis, grated
3 Tbsps Olive Oil
¼ cup of Minced Onion, fine
¼ cup of Red Bell Pepper, cut into small pieces
½ tsp Garlic, mashed
½ cup of Goody Mushrooms Pieces and Stems, minced
1 cup of Goody Red Kidney Beans, mashed
1 Egg, whisked
¼ cup of Breadcrumbs, ground
½ tsp of Salt – Black Pepper – Paprika – Oregano
Goody Burger Sauce to taste
4 Burger Buns
Slices of Lettuce, tomatoes and Onions, to taste
1.In a pot over medium heat, add the water and salt; then boil the quinoa for 10 minutes and drain it.
2.Squeeze the zucchinis and carrots by hand until it is completely drained.
3.In a pan over medium heat, heat the oil, and then add the onion and bell pepper. Stir well until they wilt; then add the garlic followed by the mushrooms; continue stirring for 3 minutes.
4.In a deep bowl, pour the mixture, then add the mashed kidney beans, quinoa, carrots, zucchinis, and egg; stir the ingredients well, then add the breadcrumbs and spices, and form them into burger discs.
5.In another pan over low heat, heat the olive oil then add the quinoa burger discs and leave them for a couple of minutes on each side until they turn golden.
6.Place the quinoa burger discs in the burger buns, and add the burger sauce and the lettuce and tomato slices, and serve.
