Try this recipe for Rawan cake and serve with coffee or tea; serve it after garnishing with coconut.
1 Tbsp Butter
3 whole Eggs
½ cup of Coarse Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla or Lemon / Orange Zest
A dash of Salt
½ cup of All-Purpose Flour
½ tsp of Baking Powder
½ cup of Semolina, fine
1 can of Velor Sweet Condensed Milk
Coconut for garnishing
- Heat the oven at medium temperature, and grease a cake mold with butter and sprinkle flour.
- Mix together the eggs and the sugar using an electric mixer and then add the vanilla and salt. Continue to whisk until the sugar melts completely.
- Sift the flour, baking powder and semolina. Gradually add the mixture to the eggs, whisk the mixture using a hand mixer, and then pour the mixture in the mold. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cake is cooked. Add the condensed milk immediately after taking the mold out of the oven; leave the cake for a bit to cool and then flip it on a suitable dish and garnish with coconuts.
*The condensed milk can be diluted by water, so that it will be absorbed by the cake.
