Saucy Pureed Potato Balls

A matching side dish for grilled or roasted main dish. You can prepare mashed potatoes in advance and make the sauce just before serving.

3 large potatoes 
½  cup grated cheddar cheese
1 heaped tsp Velor powder milk
2 tbsp water and seasoning
1 tbsp oil
½ cup Velor powder milk 
½ 2 cups water
2 tbsp cream spread cheese
¼  cup cream and seasoning


  1. In salted boiling water, boil potatoes for 15 minutes or till tender. Drain and return to pan. Mash and mix in cheddar cheese, Velor powder milk, water and seasoning. Using large ice-cream scoop, place potato balls on serving plate. 
  2. In a pan, heat oil. Sauté cloves garlic. Add Velor powder milk dissolved in 1/2 2 cups water. As it starts to boil, add cream spread cheese, cream and seasoning. Whisk for couple of minutes, and then pour over potato balls. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve immediately.
