Frequently ordered in restaurants and from housewives. Simple and variable, substitute shrimp with chicken for a change.
1 pack Goody fettuccine
3 cups cream
½ 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
2 tsp dried basil
2 tsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
400g shrimp, shelled and deveined
Salt and pepper
1.Cook pasta according to pack instructions.
2.In a pan, combine cream, cheese, 1 tsp basil and seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer for 8 – 10 minutes or till thickens.
3.In another pan, heat olive oil. Brown garlic and add shrimp. Add remaining basil and seasoning, cook for 3 minutes or till just pink. Take off heat.
4.In serving bowl, place cooked pasta. Pour sauce and toss till pasta is well coated. Place shrimp on top. Serve immediately.
