Surprise your guests and serve them this strawberry cake along with coffee, and enjoy its delicious taste.
1 ½ cup of Flour, sifted
1 tsp Baking Powder
Dash of Salt
140g Butter, at room temperature
1 cup of Sugar
1 Egg, whisked
1 tsp Liquid or Powder Vanilla
2 Tbsps Velor Powder Milk, dissolved in ½ cup of Water
Medium Strawberries; cut in halves to taste
1 Tbsp Sugar
Powdered Sugar, to taste
Strawberry pieces, to taste
1.Heat the oven at 200oC.
2.In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt; and set them aside.
3.Using an electric kneader, mix the butter and sugar until a creamy mixture is formed; then add the eggs and vanilla, and mix them for a minute. Afterwards, add the flour mixture alternatively with the milk on two batches, until the mixture becomes incorporated.
4.Pour the mixture in a sheet greased with butter; stack the strawberry halves and sprinkle the spoon of sugar over the cake’s top. Place the cake in the oven for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to 180oC; leave it for 25 minutes or until the cake turns golden.
5.Garnish with strawberry pieces and powdered sugar, and serve.
You can replace the strawberries with the Goody peach slices or Goody pineapples after drying them well.
