Thyme Risotto

An Italian rice, creamy and flavorsome. Serve with meat dish and pizza to enjoy an Italian festival.

4 cups hot chicken broth 
3 tbsp Velor powder milk 
1 cup water, to dissolve
1/3 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced 
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 tbsp dried thyme 
2 tbsp thyme with sesame 
½  1 cups short grain rice
½  cup long grain rice (American)
½  1 cup Goody sweet peas
1 cup Goody mushrooms, chopped 
1 cup cooked chicken, chopped
1 can Velor cream
1 cup parmesan cheese, grate


1.    In a pan, melt butter. Sauté garlic, green onions and thyme till soften. Add rice and 1/2 cup broth, stir till absorbed. Keep on adding 1/2 cup broth at a time while stirring constantly. 
2.    Add milk and stir. Add vegetables and chicken and stir for couple of minutes or till heated through. Stir in cream and cheese, take off heat.
3.    In a serving plate, place risotto and garnish with some cheese. Serve immediately.
